Shire Cottage is a converted barn near the Derbyshire village of Tansley. It provides two bedrooms; a double and a single, as well as a family bathroom and a cloakroom, it can sleep up to three people. The interior also boasts a kitchen and a living/dining room with an electric fire. To the outside there is ample off road parking. The village of Tansley is in the Derbyshire Dales, 2 miles from Matlock and is home to two pubs and several garden centres. Matlock is 2 miles away, popular for its warm springs, it provides eateries, shops, a museum. Leys Hall Park provides a setting for bowls, mini golf, tennis, boating and a play area. Enjoy a day at Gulliver's Kingdom with its owl maze, water gardens, nature trails, exhilarating rides and cable car trips over the Matlock Gorge. The High Peak Cycle Trail provides a wonderful experience, whilst Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park and Haddon Hall are within reach.
