Often nicknamed 'Torrie', Torremolinos features a magnificent shoreline, stretching for around 7 km / 4.5 miles, with many sandy beaches close to centre, offering the perfect place for sunbathing, swimming and water sports. With an ongoing tourism boom since the 1960s, Torremolinos is known for its beachfront hotels, renovated old town area, and relatively new Paseo Maritimo, a long seafront promenade lining much of the seafront promenade. The resort is overflowing with restaurants and bars, and with such direct competition, any evening out in Torremolinos can often be extremely inexpensive.
