My property is located a few kilometers behind San Pedro de Alcántara, within a large gated Urbanisation in the Benahavis municipality. A car is necessary as there are no shops or other facilities within the Urbanisation nor within easy walking distance. Children are welcome , but the house is not specially adapted for young children and may be unsuitable ; At your own risk. (Please consult floor plan) The accommodation enjoys fantastic unobstructed views south to Africa and Gibraltar, and benefits from High Speed Fibre Optic cable Internet (600mb / 4 users ) All bedrooms are suites and are air conditioned. The Living room and kitchen are NOT air conditioned Puerto del Almendro and La Resina have CCTV security , as does the entire Municipality of Benahavis The property has a Verisure / Securitas Direct ,security alarm system with emergency cameras inside the property PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS SELF CATERING ACCOMODATION. I DO NOT OFFER HOTEL LEVELS OF SERVICE AND ATTENTION, FOR THAT REASON THE PRICE IS MUCH LOWER ( a similar villa in Hotel Villa Padierna nearby costs nearly 10 times more per night! ) PLEASE LEAVE THE PROPERTY RELATIVELY CLEAN AND TIDY ON EXIT

I have lived and worked in Spain now for over 30 years, and live mainly in Madrid. My house in Benahavis is my second home which I use mainly in the winter months to escape the cold of central Spain. What attracts me to the Costa del Sol and specifically the Marbella area is the fantastic all year round climate ( almost like the Canary Islands) and the high level of facilities which the area offers, comparable to many large cities. Another advantage of Marbella is its proximity to several beautiful cities and smaller towns for day trips and excursions. Its even possible to visit Morocco for a night or the weekend or a skiing trip to Sierra Nevada. I recommend trips to Ronda , especially for dinner and sundown and to Tarifa , which has a wonderful vibe. It's difficult to recommend bars and restaurants as there is so much variety on offer in Marbella, and it depends whether you have come to enjoy the glamour and high life of Marbella or something more relaxed and laid back. Marbella can accomodate everyone. San Pedro de Alcántara has a wonderful Beach Promenade with some fantastic restaurants, but is more relaxed and family orientated than nearby Puerto Banus and the Golden Mile.

Puerto del Almendro is located directly behind San Pedro de Alcántara, just off the A 397 Ronda Road. Whilst the Urbanization itself does not offer a Golf Course or services such as supermarket or restaurants, it directly adjoins the Los Arqueros Golf Resort and is a short distance from the La Quinta Golf Resort, as well as Golf Valley and the famous Las Brisas and Los Naranjos courses ( Nueva Andalucia) Close to the entrance to Puerto del Almendro is a small Shopping Centre ( Monte Halcones) which provides a supermarket and various restaurants , bars and Pharmacy. San Pedro de Alcántara and Puerto Banus are the closest places for restaurants and nightlife. Taxis can be ordered over your phone to pick you up at the house and take you to San Pedro or Puerto Banus or there is a Taxi stop at the Monte Halcones Shopping Centre. CABIFY and Uber also operate in the Marbella / Benahavis area and maybe cheaper. Within easy reach of all the Nightlife and glamour of Puerto Banus and the Golden Mile, my property also provides a retreat from the crowds and the noise. Ocean Club, La Sala by the sea , and SISU are all nearby, as are the famous restaurants on the Golden Mile,
