Lanzarote has so much to offer. Its diverse and at times, dramatic scenery is breath taking. The island is steeped in a rich cultural history that is still evident today. After many years living in the north of the island, my family and i still feel privileged and grateful to be here. It is always a joy to welcome new guests to the island , there is also the added pleasure of welcoming back returning guests , who like us have fallen in love with Lanzarote. Casa Atalaya is situated in the picturesque village of Maguez which is in the central northern part of Lanzarote. The environmentally friendly casa is completely Solar powered . There is a water filter which supplies drinking water, no need to buy plastic bottled water. Recycling bins nearby. A+ Class fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The house is 120 years of age. It has been sympathetically renovated to a high standard yet still maintaining many original features. The casa has an extremely well equipped kitchen . There is Wi-Fi throughout. The sitting room has a smart TV with Netflix, Youtube premium, etc , is a very comfortable place to relax after a busy day or you could enjoy a glass of local wine with some of Lanzarote's delicious cheese and crusty bread in the furnished private south facing patio. If you enjoy walking, the village offers very pleasant and authentic surroundings in whichever direction you decide to walk. There is a bar cafeteria called Los Roferos nearby .

Maguez enjoys a rural setting yet it is only 7 minutes drive to La Garita beach with its restaurants and bar/cafes. It is close to the town of Haria a 15 minute walk, it is also known as "the valley of a thousand palms" with it restaurants and small artisan shops, there is a Saturday morning market from 10 until 2pm. Many of the top tourist attractions are to be found here in the beautiful unspoiled north. You can also take a ferry ride to the small island of La Graciosa with its beautiful beaches. It is the ideal location for active people as well as for those seeking rest and relaxation.
