山の斜面に建ったイエーガーホテルへの道が細く登り初めは少々不安でした。周辺には同じようなホテルや個人の家が散在し、建築中の建物もあり、完全なリゾート地で宿泊費は朝食込み。駐車場を十分に備え、朝食内容は充実していました。木の床で装飾過多でない室内がよい。部屋のベランダからの眺めはとてもよく眼下の湖と対岸の山頂に古城が見えて隣接したレストランは夜ライトアップされます。眼下のオシアッハ湖畔は山に囲まれに村が点在し、夏は山歩きや湖畔の遊び、冬はスキーが楽しめるようです。所々に大手スーパーがありほとんどの食品・日用品は揃うが夕方閉店。アルプスの山々が幾重にも見えて最高の景色でした。背後のカンツェル山へ上るケーブルカーの駅が直ぐ近くで、山頂はパラグライダーの出発地。南アルプスを眺望する素晴らしいパノラマは必見。オーストリア最高峰のグロスグロックナーの頂上が少し見えます。
