Myrtle Cottage is a homely property in a prime position for exploring all that the wonderful South Devon has to offer. . Ground Floor:
Living room: With wood burner, Smart TV, DVD player and wooden floor.
Kitchen/dining area: With electric cooker, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, stereo/CD player, tiled floor and French doors leading to rear garden.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With double bed.
Bedroom 2: With zip and link twin beds (can be kingsize on request).
Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Enclosed south-facing garden with patio and garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking.. This charming, white-washed, thatched holiday cottage, at the end of a row, dates back to 1750 and is set on the main road in the village of Chillington, which has an award-winning, dog friendly pub. In the heart of South Devon, only 9 miles from Salcombe, the property is pet friendly, with an enclosed garden and a large dog crate available if required. A superb location for exploring the many beaches, coves and pretty villages dotted along this stretch of South Devon. Only 2 miles away is Torcross, with the sea on one side of the road and the freshwater lagoon of Slapton Ley on the other. The local estuary town of Kingsbridge has a variety of shops, a museum, cinema and sports centre. There are a wide selection of beaches in the area, including dog friendly ones.
Salcombe can be reached by either road or by a small passenger ferry once in east Portlemouth. Boating trips, hire boats and diving trips can be arranged in the Salcombe/Kingsbridge estuary. Visit historic Dartmouth with its bustling harbour, castle, contemporary art galleries and boutiques.
